Re: FOOD - Heads up on large food price increases.
a pretty good read over there, but really really one sided.
I don't remember anyone willing to help out the farmers when corn was 1.80 per bushel, and ethanol was introduced. The farmers were getting killed, and making nothing off their crops. Demand wasn't there, and the prices were like that at the farm level for years. I never agreed with ethanol, and still don't, as the ouput of btu energy is too low relative to the inputs. But, it doesn't mean bashing ethanol is the answer or holy grail. The prices of all commods IMO are directly correlated with the volume of fiat printing sloshing around, and higher energy costs. If they would spend more time bringing down energy costs instead of gold and silver, we might make some progress on this front. Until they do, we are in for a very harsh ride. Scorp |

Anyone know a good place that sells non GM seeds? I think I will stock up just in case. I'm also gonna buy some of those sprouts that are edible within 10 days or so. I think they are wheat grain sprouts? Maybe I'll get some big rabbits or something to breed, I just need a place to put them.

I think I will stop shopping at shoprite prices are way out of control now I spend a third more then what I did last year per month.
Think I will join COSCO agian buy in bulk walmart would also be a good place to go but the one by me sells very little food with the price of gas it don't even pay to go to walmart for paper products and shoprite for food plus shoprite is out of control now with prices. I will just join cosco and buy in bulk |
